Brotherhood Breakfast (Everyone Welcome)!

 I am sitting here thinking about breakfast like it’s some kind of sacred calling. Which, honestly, it might be. The brothers at Fidalgo Lodge #77 treat this bi weekly breakfast like we’re protecting ancient wisdom. Really we’re just trying to get our eggs before the rush.

We’re meeting Saturday March 7 at 8:30 a.m. at Just Breakfast on 1502 Commercial Ave in Anacortes. Yes. That’s the actual name. I keep waiting for someone to tell me it’s a front for something mysterious, but no. It’s just breakfast. And it’s good.

I like these mornings. I walk in, smell the coffee, and it feels like a very relaxed lodge meeting where the only thing on the agenda is whether I’m getting bacon or sausage. Someone always claims the hash browns hold hidden meaning. Someone else insists the pancakes are a working tool if you tilt the plate just right. We let him run with it. It keeps the mood light.

So come join us. It’s easy. It’s friendly. It’s breakfast with a wink toward the craft. No aprons. No ritual. Just good food, good company, and a chance to pretend we’re far more mysterious than we are.
