“FRIENDSHIP is one of the most important tenets of Freemasonry.  Practice it – BE FRIENDLY.  This peculiar characteristic of a Mason should be practiced constantly.  Be friendly.  Make a visitor feel that he is part of your Lodge, see to it that he meets and knows every Mason present, making him ‘WANT’ to come back to your Lodge.  Don’t drag out your meetings.  Close early enough to permit a social half-hour whenever possible.  Insist that the Brothers participate in the fellowship.  It will be thoroughly enjoyed by all.  The visitor will return to your Lodge often, and the Brethren will profit by renewal of friendships.  GRIN – STISK OUT YOUR HAND FIRST.  BE A FRIEND, AND BE FRIENDLY.”   Edited from “Daily Doses of Light” by Steven G. Tiner
