Bikes for Books:

As an encouragement for elementary school children to set time aside to read, each year Fidalgo Lodge offers two bikes each to Fidalgo Elementary, Mount Erie Elementary, and Island View Elementary schools. As children complete reading a given number of books, they receive a chit; the more books, the more chits for the random drawing for bicycles.  This program is jointly sponsored by  Fidalgo Lodge #77 and the Skagit Cycle Center in Anacortes.

The Schools report that the amount of reading by kids has quadrupled since this program was started five years ago

Contribution to the Bikes for Books program is fully tax deductible.  Follow the link to our “Support” page for more information.

Turkey Shoot for Meals on Wheels & Toys for Tots

Each year we raise over $2,000 for the Skagit County Meals on Wheels program with our Turkey Shoot at the Moose Gun Club range.  In return for the help provided by the Burlington Moose Club at this event, we assist them during their Turkey Shoot on behalf of the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program.

Each year we present two scholarships to Anacortes High School seniors via the Fidalgo Masonic Scholarship Foundation.

Contributions to this Foundation are tax deductible.  See our “Support” page for more information.

Memorial Day

Veterans' Appreciation Day

Each Memorial Day at 12:00 P.M.the Anacortes Masons invite the community to a ceremony honoring those service members who are buried in cemeteries overseas. Following a spaghetti lunch, everyone retires to the upstairs lodge room for the Empty Chair Ceremony, a short observance that began in 1875 as a means of honoring those who did not return from the battlegrounds of the American Civil War.

Independence Day Parade

Each year the Masons of Anacortes, joined by the brethren of nearby lodges, represent famous Masons in history as they march in the annual 4th of July parade in Anacortes

Memorial Day Wreath Laying Ceremony

Each Memorial Day the brethren lay a wreath at the memorial for fallen service members at Causland Memorial Park.  We are joined by the Boy Scouts and Civic Officials, with cannon fire marking the 11th hour of the 11th day of the year.
